The department of youth services selected 10 aspirants to impart extensive training at CBR Sports Academy, Vijayawada, to climb the Mount Everest. The state government started Mission Everest-2018 to send the youth to climb the Mount Everest.
As a part of the mission, the government inviting the youth for an extensive training programme in Vijayawada. The selected candidates will be sent for a seven-stage training programme. As a part of mission, the department of youth services conducted selections on Wednesday at the District Police Training Centre at Bakkannapalem and selected 10 candidates for the training.
According to Chief Executive Officer of SETVIS A Babji, the selections will be held on November 23 at CBR Sports Academy, Vijayawada. The interested candidates with medical fitness certificate issued by a doctor can attend directly at CBR Sports Academy, Vijayawada.
The candidates should pass graduation and white colour ration card. The male candidates should complete 100 metres run in 16 seconds, 2.4 km run in 10 minutes and qualify 3.65 metres long jump. The female candidates should complete 100 metres run in 18 seconds, 2.4 km long run in 13 minutes, and have to qualify 2.70 metres long jump.
